Interesting link. Though most of that stuff I have figured out with a couple of months use, there were a couple of useful ones in there.

Today I bit the bullet and flashed a new ROM to my phone. It's one based on Windows Mobile 6.5 (could have chosen 6.5.1 if I wanted, but I wanted to err on the side of stability), and seems very cool so far. A few (generic, not from my phone) screenshots :

Is that the HTC UI? Does look very nice - similar to the Hero ROM which I'd love to have on my Magic.

Yep, it's just the Touch Flo3D 2.1 interface. The new HTC HD2 has a new version 2.5 of that interface, now re-branded HTC Sense, which you can get in some custom ROMs for my phone - however, that's a little more bleeding-edge, for example it doesn't work in landscape mode when you slide open the keyboard (the HD2 doesn't have a hardware keyboard).

Some of the Windows 6.5 stuff itself looks nicer now, compared to 6.1, e.g :

Here's an example using TouchFlo3D/Sense 2.5. the plus boxes on the home page below are shortcut place-holders :

That does look very nice, they've clearly done a lot of work to really tidy up windows mobile........why does the HD2 not have a landscape mode, despite not having a keyboard, does the screen not flip when it's turned on it's side?

6.5.1 is even better than 6.5, it's got a lot more "finger-friendly" type of stuff. I'm keeping an eye on the feedback and will upgrade when folks say it's stable.

Good question about turning the HD2 on its side though, I have no idea ! :confused1:
