thats the only thing putting me off the S is the downlaod and software stuff like its a mini pc,
whereas the iphone does that stuff for you and you never know really

how you mean? I haven't had to download anything mate other than apps but that's done in the exact same way as a iPhone

Yep Swype is incredible, I used to think I'd like a proper keyboard, but now there really is no need.
Unless they do something new with iOS they're going to get left behind, Android is already the biggest selling mobile OS in the US so it's only a matter of time before the same happens over here. I totally agree, my SGS is now costing £350 over the term of the contract, an iPhone 4 would cost more than double that.

i thought swype would be really buggy and painful having to constantly select the word you really wanted but it's so accurate and even has abbreviations too, more than impressed with this phone, can't wait for the official release of Froyo

Carpediem like anit virus and stuff
you download it the same way you do any other app though and it also allows you to backup your data/pics/contacts and have them stored online should anything happen to your phone you can simply retrieve them, there really is no hassle behind it at all.

my bro has a iPhone 4 and I have friends with the 3GS and the SGS really does poop on them all, I can't honestly see why anyone would pay upwards of £150 for the handset when the SGS is available free.....
