please please help - FuntimePhil - 07-03-2020 i've cut my radio cable! dont ask why but ive cut it. i dont have enough cable now to work with and i dont know how to connect it back up. i tried just twisting the wire together, but the quality is AWFUL. are there any kits i can buy to splice/extend radio cable? please please help - IanS200 - 07-03-2020 Solder them mate, please please help - Sparkystav - 07-03-2020 Solder them I agree, but get some pics up as well see if we can help. A standard radio or aftermarket. please please help - FuntimePhil - 07-03-2020 its aftermarket, im not fussed about the stereo, i just need to get a connector back on my cable in the car. the cable is like a coax cable but the centre wire is much much thinner please please help - FirebirdPhil - 08-03-2020 The only coax cable is the antenna? It does have a 12v+ feed along with it to power the radio amplifier. Still use solder to re-connect, should be OK. please please help - FuntimePhil - 08-03-2020 really? i didnt think it was powered? its just a simple coax cable with (what used to be) a little connecter on the end that clipped on my radio. when i open the cable first there is black rubber, then loads of orange wire, then a white plastic tube and in the middle of that, a very very thin hair like silver wire please please help - FirebirdPhil - 09-03-2020 Photo may help... |
