Hi all,
just really having an idea maybe to give my is200 a 2JZGE conversion like in the is300 or NA supra.
What is needed and what kind of price am i looking at:
obviously i know 2JZGE engine and W58 5 speed box. (or will standard is200 6speed be ok with upgraded clutch?

it will be a LOT cheaper to convert an IS300 to manual than it will be to put a 2J in an IS200. Why shell out 6-7k converting an is200 when you can get an IS300 for £3-4k and swap a W58 into it? Engine swapping the IS200 is going to be a complete ball ache and completely not worth it if you want the end result identical to an IS300.

for a getrag v160 maual box brand new about 3 to 4000. http://www.suprastore.com/tosuge6sptrn.html
for a good second hand one about a grand or 2, then you need an adaptor for the shifter and a manual ecu, clutch a cluch peddle......

why would you put a getrag in a 215hp car? A W58 will be fine and should even bolt up to the 2jz shouldn't it? The yank 5 speeds were either a W58 or W55 I can't remember.
W58 will set you back a few hundred quid, you'd need a clutch kit for it.
Also a V160 will probably require cutting of the transmission tunnel.
