Video playback while driving - James S - 13-04-2020

Just got a new head unit, it says I have to connect a wire to the handbrakeight cable, and then put on/take off/put on mt handbrake so I can watch a video. Is there anyway round this?

If you just ground it to the chassis that normally bypasses that feature

That's what I did with mine and videos play just fine while driving...

Do not do this! Most stereos are looking for earth not 12v.

I know the new pioneers need a relay putting in but not direct 12v

I think I attached mine when I had it to the earth of the radio and it worked fine

I have the new pioneer appradio and it just goes to earth too

The american versions are different though, it's a software thing

Yeah I fitted one for a lad on here, you have to fit a relay powered by the amp delay power wire to fool the stereo.
