Which OBD2? - jomo - 23-06-2020 Had a quick search on the forum but didnt find any thing that help me choose one. So which one's are you guys using? Do i go bluetooth or WiFi? Are they all a much of a muchness? Also what the best iPhone software? Cheers Jomo. Which OBD2? - DaveEdin - 23-06-2020 If you go iPhone, you HAVE to go wifi adapter for REV etc I think. Bluetooth if your phone's running Android. My Android phone is connected to the car via bluetooth and Torque (great app, only 3 quid from Android Market too) Which OBD2? - jomo - 23-06-2020 That's about right, it triple the price lol, sods law.... Which OBD2? - DaveEdin - 23-06-2020 Yep - that's what you get for picking Apple, a company well known for massive prices  Just buy a cheap android phone for £20 or so on ebay, and fit the bluetooth option - keep the android phone in the car. All told, probably still cheaper than the iPhone REV software and a decent wifi adapter... Which OBD2? - jomo - 24-06-2020 So these cheap (£8) bluetooth ones are ok then?
Which OBD2? - DaveEdin - 24-06-2020 I had one of those and it was **** - kept dropping the signal all over the place. Others have had them and been luckier, but I paid a bit more and got a Kiwi PLX bluetooth odb2 adapter - and it's never dropped a connection at all. Plus that one is sticking out the ODB2 port at your shin while you drive (unless you remove and relocate the port anyways) Which OBD2? - toxo - 24-06-2020 This link might be useful to you. http://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters |
