I'm just waiting on my wind deflectors to arrive. But I know I need new tape to stick them on.
So what kind and thickness do you need to use ?

You want a bit of thickness a couple of mm maybe.
Width wise just measure up the deflectors

About 5-10mm width should be ok mate. The tape on mine is about that I think
