I was just wondering if anyone who has their car Turboed or Supercharged ,
who have got Mikalor hose clamps fitted to their silicon hoses could tell me the sizes of their clamps. I have just fitted some to my car for the 50mm I/D hoses.
And I used the 59 - 63 mm clamps, but was wanting to know if I could get away with the next sizes down. :tongue_smilie:

Do you know the outside diameter of the hoses matey? think the next one down is a 55-59mm clamp, and most hoses have a 5-6mm hose wall? I have a 55-59 clamp here at the moment and it just about expands to 60mm on the last couple of threads?

Ok Chris I just took of a hose to check and its 60mm O/D so I'll have to go with the 59 - 63 mm ones again.
When I took of my old upgraded ones just now they are $hit compared to the Mikalor hose clamps

Told my other half that i'm going to sell the house, and just buy a big garage with a room above to live in, :w00t:

You wouldnt believe what i have around my house, i even have an original set of 1980's blue velour mini seats up in the loft :blink:
Anyway Moley was just looking at a hose and looks like it might be a bit tight to get the next size down on, unless you use some fairy liquid and force them onto the joints? the hose i have is about 60mm O/D but with a 50mm I/D?
