Tyre recommendations? - el_bandido - 23-04-2022 I'm about to get a set of Falken FK453's for the IS200; I had FK452's on before and they were excellent, but I thought I'd check and see if anyone has any better ideas before I push the button? Camskill can get a pair of 225/40/R18's to me for £153.58, so if anyone can beat that, I'd be thrilled. Edit: And if anyone says Maxxis, don't bother because I think they are genuinely horrendous. Got some on the front at the moment and they are terrible. Tyre recommendations? - purplewitch - 23-04-2022 round legal ones is my suggestion
Tyre recommendations? - el_bandido - 23-04-2022 purplewitch round legal ones is my suggestion better than my current arrangement
Tyre recommendations? - Almost Finished - 23-04-2022 I've got Falken FK453 on the front and Falken FK 452 on the rear . Tony at WIM recommendation .
Tyre recommendations? - Rabster - 24-04-2022 I'm with the witch round and legal not to mention inflated
Tyre recommendations? - el_bandido - 24-04-2022 Dave, my last set of fk452's were from Tony. I've gone for some fk453's as camskill were very cheap. Tyre recommendations? - Almost Finished - 24-04-2022 They do'nt make fk452 no more , the fk453 have improved tread and grip .
Tyre recommendations? - el_bandido - 24-04-2022 Excellent. I was very happy with the 452's, but they don't seem to last long after 10,000 miles. Tyre recommendations? - Voodoo Vix - 24-04-2022 I've got FK453's on the zed, no complaints on either sets of wheels Tyre recommendations? - el_bandido - 25-04-2022 Tyres arrived, fitting tomorrow. Will report back with opinions. If they are anything like the FK452's, I'm expecting good things. I'll stick my Maxxis tyres on the back and use the Falkens at the front. The maxxis ones are horrendous, so hopefully my front end grip will be better with the falkens; I don't mind a bit of oversteer. |
