Hello ladies and gents,
I'm Dean from Essex.
I will try to keep my introduction brief.
So i originally sourced and bought a Lexus IS300 Sportx after a good friend of mine came to see me in his IS200. I was amazed by how smooth and quiet the engine was and extras.
I also liked that the back seats folded down flat to allow extra lugging room.
So i found one and was lucky to find it drives so nice, always a joy to drive.
I then found out the 2JZ GE engine is a gem, and is linked to the 2JZ GTE.
Now this is when all these crazy thoughts came into my head about forced induction or V8 transplants.
I found that some cars are being used for drifting or burn outs but im more into the straight line performance and 1/4 mile times.
Then i happened to learn about an awd gita and i thought, thats just what i need......AWD and a 2JZ GTE engine!
It was imported with help from a tuning company i happened to find on the net.
I was amazed that it drives even tighter than the Lexus sx so im chuffed.
It doesn't have leather seats but has sat nav/sunroof etc.
I already tried to slam it on some HSD coilovers but found that its not the same as the sx
Evidently coilovers are non existent for this car, but i found some lowering springs i may purchase.
For now i'm looking for a 2JZ GTE or a V8....

Welcome mate!
I've wanted one of these for years! I'll be keen to see it sometime! You should have a look in the club shop and come with us to a few shows!
I've studied the underside of these and they are hugely different. Even the from drive shafts run through the sump!

I will definitely be up for one of the shows.
I'm hoping i can at least change the exterior and ride height before the upcoming show.

Excellent mate! Have a look at the jap performance show for a one day event. Or Jae for up to a full 4 days!
