I think Redz might know the answer to this, but I'll open it up to the floor anyway - just had a Kenwood flip out satnav fitted into my sister's Mini, and I can't get the traffic up and running on it, it says no reception, and on another screen it says "please connect traffic receiver"
Have they simply forgotten to fit the traffic receiver, or is there something I need to do to activate it? I'm guessing the former, as otherwise the job was immaculately done so if they had fitted it I'm sure they would have made sure it was all working.

Sounds like its not connected to a GPS receiver mate? wonder if a wire has come off somewhere?

sounds like the connection hasnt been made did the unit come with a sat nav reciever or did it say it can handle sat nav ?
what was the product code for it ?

Sorry if I wasn't clear, the satnav is working fine, it's the traffic reception (to warn of jams) that isn't working.
Have just looked at the invoice actually, and it's not on there so I've got a bad feeling that they haven't fitted it. I hope they're not now going to say that it wasn't part of the deal because it was.........

Just found some update software for that model while having a look at the website, just incase you ever need it? SOFTWARE UPDATE
