Hdmi - FirebirdPhil - 17-12-2017 If a broadcast is in NTSC but decoded in a sat. receaver and fed via a HDMI lead to the TV, will the image be viewable? Hdmi - James S - 17-12-2017 Yes, as long as you got a box decoding the signal, it doesn't matter what the original format is. Hdmi - FirebirdPhil - 17-12-2017 I thought so, bit like composite signals then. Thanks. Hdmi - James S - 17-12-2017 Yeah, there isn't any differance between the signal coming out of a sky box, whether its composite or hdmi, the only differance is the fact the HDMI is a more user friendly interface. Hdmi - parthiban - 17-12-2017 Most UK TVs can play an NTSC signal anyway I think so that shouldn't be an issue in any case. Is there really no difference though, haven't tried it with my V+ box but have with my PS3 and the difference between component and HDMI was much bigger than I was expecting. |
