Just a quickie as I am not sure, is a
'2001 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI TYPE RA' a rare car?
What would people suggest it is worth?

Dont know what its worth but a quick scan on Wikipedia, for a 2001 one its an import version, had bigger front brakes and was used for homologation for the rallying

because companies only have to produce a certain amount for homologation so they only produce the amount they have to as they normally have more expensive bits on

Thanks for the input guys it does help,
I see that this model (from the link Ian) it has AVCS heads on it which is VVT, which in turn makes it more tuneable, I have also read that this model was later replaced with a 'spec c' which was lighter and slightly longer making it handle better, but I agree with Stav and dino with the manufactoring and writing off of them!!
Who wants to guess what one would be worth ( I am not sure ) maybe 8-10k?

found this one on pistonheads for £8995 (IMPORT) and found out that 1000 were made of this type according to his advert.
