tyres - aaronabbott - 16-01-2018 ive just had a puncture on my drivers front wheel,and although im going to wim on tuesday for the geo to be done again i need a new tyre,is it better to get 1 or do both fronts while im there ?. the 1 with the puncture has worn completely on the inside edge,im not sure if the otherside is as bad cos it was dark and wet so just wanted to get it swapped with my spare 17''. tyres - Moley - 16-01-2018 If you are going to WIM , I would say just get whatever Tony advises you to get tyres - aaronabbott - 16-01-2018 only problem is im going on a 200mile round trip tomorrow so really need it sorting otherwise id wait till tuesday, tyres - Moley - 16-01-2018 Just leave your spare on, then get the new tyre / tyres when your at WIM problem sorted tyres - aaronabbott - 17-01-2018 i was more worried about having to drive with 3x18'' and 1x17'' till monday/tuesday tyres - lexynik - 17-01-2018 oopsy-that would be a bit offputting-mind you people do drive on spacesavers which is along those lines-just drive careful if you do as its bound to behave a bit different tyres - steviewevie - 17-01-2018 That will be ok though, since the outside circumference of the wheel will be almost identical. tyres - lexynik - 17-01-2018 yeah but if your goin on a long run chuck anather 17 in the boot in case you get a puncture tyres - aaronabbott - 17-01-2018 yeah thats what i was most worried about stevie tyres - jay_russell - 17-01-2018 always better to have the same on each axel for water planing, but the back is not as bad as the front, so same on the front and odd on the back is ok, better to buy 2 new for the front and use the best for the rear |
