ive just bought a obd2 elm327 off ebay i carnt get it to work, ive emaild the company and he replied mine not obd2 because its a 99 model obd2 only came in 2001 and newer is this true

true it was on all cars after 2001, but it should work with yours as well.

Yeah I have a 1999 IS200 and an OBD-II reader works fine on mine.

Mine was a 2000 model and that's the same reader i have and it worked fine, works on my 1999 celica too :thumbup1:

I use ProScan 5.8 mate and it works fine on the IS200, here's a link to the download site, CLICK ME? It will need an unlock code to use all the features but might be able to help you out there
