Hello people.
Is it possible to fit a aftermarket headunit in a is200 without alot of rewiring??
Keep getting told the only way is alot of rewiring due to the amp or getting the asmp bypass kit on ebay that dont work probally. Is this info correct??

Plenty of people on here with aftermarket units, plus Woz has a walkthrough on the bypass leads to get past the standard amp... must be fairly possible - though I don't have one yet :lol: so not sure on difficulty myself...

the by pass cables are very easy to install and there is no extra wiring once you get it

Wiring very easy, like rabster says plug & play, Wozza's fascia mod is what takes a bit of time, but has to be done IMHO

nah the sound quality is fine mate
i did changeall my speakers shortly after as i wanted better sound but you dont have to...

No mate, the amps you get in decent stereos these days are far better than the originally lexus amp thats over 10years old

i remember when i fitted my pioneer double din headunit the sound quality was a lot better than the oem setup
