Can you request a payment via paypal from someone who doesn't have a paypal account?
I'm sure you could in the past, and they'd just go through to a page where they fill in their card details, but doesn't seem to be possible any more?

Yes you can
Just log into paypal, at the tabs at the top there is 'request money'. Put in their email address and send them an invoice. Then they do as you say, log in and enter card details

That's what I've done, but it's asking them to create an account. Also tried the "create an invoice" option, but that does the same.
