Day time running lights - jomo - 13-07-2018 Ok the misses has made me buy her a set of day time running leds for her Toyota Celica, but as she hardily goes out at night in the car she wants them to come on with the ignition! So my question is where do i find a live feed under the bonnet to run the lights from that come on with when the engine is started, so i don't have to run a switch inside the car to turn them on/off? Gonna feed mine into the side lights so that's straight forward, I've also got inline fuse holders with 500ma quick blow fuses to keep everything nice and safe.:thumbup1::thumbup1: One for Stave me thinks...... Day time running lights - Rabster - 14-07-2018 You could use the ignition feed in the ecu or if you wanted to be realy flash you could use a light dependant resistor .... Day time running lights - Phil01 - 14-07-2018 light dependant resistor ,,,,,, I want one!, what ever it is  Day time running lights - Dark Samurai - 14-07-2018 Is200's already have LDR's though, for turning on headlights when set to auto? Day time running lights - Sparkystav - 14-07-2018 Your best bet as Rabster says is using a switched live in the ECU, use the owners manual online to identify one. No point using an LDR if she wants them on in the day Day time running lights - Dark Samurai - 14-07-2018 stav you can get ldrs which will turn off in the night too Day time running lights - Sparkystav - 14-07-2018 why would you want to?> Day time running lights - Dark Samurai - 14-07-2018 Yes dean, by the instrument cluster, well above it. Day time running lights - Sparkystav - 14-07-2018 Marsdendean Can you paint the LDR's black to make them run all the time? And the IS200 are at the bottom of the windscreen arnt they? theres only one, the other measure the sun light for the air con i believe. why would you want to though? Day time running lights - Dark Samurai - 14-07-2018 Why would you want to what Stav, paint them black, or have day runners? |
