The plugs are different and the wiring doesnt match from one to the other?

Cant be too different, just find the wiring for both years and swap the wires around

Had a look at wiring diagrams but even pin outs on amp are different,

I sold a 2005 top loader to a guy with a bottom loader and it fitted after swapping the plugs over, took a bit of doing by all accounts but it does work.
