punctures and tyre repairing - is300_dino - 03-10-2019 found a screw in my driverside front tyre when i left my mates earlier, so swapped it for the one in the boot, got home and the spare was flat, but it didnt feel deflated like the original tyre that flapped when i first left, so ive pumped it back up checked over it cant find any objects in it so i hope its not punctured, as the spare is brand new and the fronts are less than 6 months with lots of tread! so can tyres be repaired to a decent level safely these days? both are pzero rosso's so i hope i dont need 2 new ones again and only one needs repairing/replacing and that then can stay in the boot :cursing::Sulk::cursing::Sulk::cursing::angry: punctures and tyre repairing - jay_russell - 04-10-2019 yes mate, but find someone that uses a rubber plug from the inside and a tyre sealer over. something like this what they call a mushroom plug, needs the tyre removed for fitting it http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.beadbreaker.co.uk/images/tyre_repair_bead_breaker/Mushroom_plug.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.therevcounter.com/uk-motorbike-forum/42756-plugged-tyres.html&h=221&w=340&sz=9&tbnid=8HnJZmmQtqnnJM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=138&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dtyre%2Bplug%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=tyre+plug&docid=O28qZbi1Gv-yQM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=0QPCTqbLEZDU4QTQ1Nz5DA&sqi=2&ved=0CG4Q9QEwCg&dur=508 punctures and tyre repairing - Lexuspat - 04-10-2019 im pretty sure kwikfit did this i no ive had plugs fitted after a nail or screw has gone into it try there punctures and tyre repairing - FirebirdPhil - 04-10-2019 So long as the hole is in the right part of the tyre, puncture repair is pretty straightforward. punctures and tyre repairing - is300_dino - 04-10-2019 its in the groove bit to the inside of the wheel so hopefully someone will be able to repair it for me, the replacement also seems to have stayed inflated will keep an eye on it today and hope it stays inflated, thanks peeps punctures and tyre repairing - uncle bob - 04-10-2019 Bit of puncture advise... http://www.etyres.co.uk/repairable-area-gauge punctures and tyre repairing - is300_dino - 04-10-2019 cheers bob will print that off later thank you punctures and tyre repairing - Stoney - 04-10-2019 Can usually be repaired, as long as it is a hole not a tear and not on the sidewall of the tyre.
