Tried the clutch pedal in a certain Mr Aztecbandit1's Skyline R33 today and boy, did that need a firm push or what ? :eek:
Are they normally setup very firm ? Or is the tension on a clutch pedal something you can easily adjust ? :confused:

Just to put it into perspective, the ignition was off when I tried it and we weren't going anywhere !

Yes mate they are normally very heavy clutches.
But that a small price to pay.

Mines got the paddle clutch fitted with exedy friction plate, exedy cover plate, uprated release bearing and an exedy lightweight fly wheel, going to have a left leg like popeye soon LOL.

Yeah but that's what I'm not clear on. I wouldn't have thought having a paddle clutch makes things stiffer, just tricker to slip in and out (i.e. more on/off). I could well be wrong though, just making some (quite possibly incorrect) assumptions.

That's put me off ever owning a Skyline, I couldn't put up with a clutch like that

The clutch in mine is a racing clutch so is quite a bit heavier than normal, i tried it out last night having a play with a Civic type R at the lights and when i floored it and dropped the clutch it just gripped and went, think the type r was a bit fed up when i shot off with flames coming out of the exhaust
Fitting a stainless steel turbo gasket today so i can up the boost, as i'm only running 0.5bar at the moment and should be able to run 0.8.5-1bar soon when i get some more bits sorted :eek:
