Selling a car to Ireland - Rabster - 02-01-2020 Ok So i have sold the White Stagea the guy is flying over to collect it. Is there anything special i need to do knowing that he is driving it back to Ireland ? Selling a car to Ireland - dandydons - 02-01-2020 Just make sure the cash is good before he heads off. Same as you would do with any other sale - any special issues with going to Ireland are his worry not yours. Selling a car to Ireland - Rabster - 02-01-2020 Yeah i have done my research he seems to be legit no negative feedback on ebay and had good communication with him so hopefully will be a pain free transaction was only concerned with how the DVLA saw selling to Ireland Selling a car to Ireland - BOOSST - 02-01-2020 Rabster Yeah i have done my research he seems to be legit no negative feedback on ebay and had good communication with him so hopefully will be a pain free transaction I thought it was Northern ireland anyway he is coming from ? Make sure you give the guy a receipt and both of you keep a copy with both parties signing each copy. At least that way you have some proof that car has been sold and make sure his address etc is on it. - It also protects the buyer a bit as well . I would also include the words 'sold as seen' . Selling a car to Ireland - Chri5 - 02-01-2020 make sure you put the time of sale on the receipt. i sold my evo to a guy in finland and the same day he bought it he was flashed twice going thro roadwaorks. 1 at 73mph and the other at 78mph oh and he had a parking ticket lol. luckily i had the time an date on the receipt so could easily appeal. Selling a car to Ireland - parthiban - 03-01-2020 There's a section for "permanent export" on the V5 isn't there? I think you fill that in and send it off to the DVLA, as far as I know that's all (other than the normal stuff you'd do when selling a car as mentioned above) Selling a car to Ireland - toxo - 03-01-2020 Pretty sure Ireland doesn't count as an export.
