First disc/pad job - whats needed, good parts?
First disc/pad job - whats needed, good parts?
Aside from having a squeak from the front when braking I also need some new discs on the car. I'm thinking of going for these instead of emptying the bank account for OEM parts:

Also being as this is my first ever brake job (and I'm brickin it), what other tools will I need and does anyone have any tips?

Socket set, small screw driver, big screwdriver or a lever, should be all you need.

Green stuffs are good but a little dusty I found.
As for tools for pushing the pistons back, that's what the levers for.
You will need some copper slip to grease the back of the pads your right.

Ahh right, would a breaker bar do the trick do you think?
I skipped the greenstuffs in the end and went for mintex. Worked out quite well as I ended up avoiding eBay and going to camskill where I got discs and pads for £150.
Will grab some copper slip too. Do I need anything for the wear sensors?
Jim, give me a shout if you need any help mate, gladly pop over to you
