Hi,

Quick question, my claim for the accident involving the IS200 back in December 2008 is still going on. Direct Line have sent me a witness statement, and now believe from this statement that I am at full liability. However this statement is full of facts which are just not the case, this is not my opinion but facts of the incident. for example, he mentions another car, which is untrue as no other car was involved.

From the interview I had with the police, he seems to have condricted himself from what he has said on this statement to the third parties insurance.

Now ive just asked Direct Line whether they have the police file, which they dont, and they are saying they dont need it.

Basically I wanted to ask whether I would be entitled to the police file or even just the statements of everyone involved?

I got legal cover, but not much cover is being provided, and if I have to do it myself then so be it

PS. my avater shows what happened to my car lol

Ah ok.

Do you have house insurance ? Sometimes you get a legal advice helpline as part of that.

yh in my dads name, might ring them and see what they say. Might do a freedom of information request, but accoring to West Yorkshire Police it would costs 150 quids to request the full report upto 30 pages ! lol so if i can convince direct line to do it, then nothing
