I was attaching it with black silicone as this is all had to hand,also because I use it for absolutely everything. While I was waiting for it to cure my mind started to wonder...
And my question is, if there was an virus/whatever that was able to disolve/eat away silicone how many things would fall apart? How many times (like me) has somebody just said "a bit of silicone will fix/hold that". and its probably not just cars!
I know for a fact any car I have ever owned would probably fall apart, and most likely my house! I love silicone.

Today whilst re-attaching the aerial to my girlfriends 206, which some drunken youths had thought it would be just great to pull off! (luckily for them they didn't touch the Lex)

Lol, I don't think I've ever used silicone to stick two things together, but it would make sealing bathroom edges a pain if silicone didn't work........
