Anyone know of one for sale or a good place to start looking?

W58 is right for a MKIV 5-speed. They come up on eBay sometimes but people tend to snap them up for kit cars and engine swaps. You'd be best off finding someone breaking a MKIV.
Sounds like he needs to get a second quote! You can still order all the gears, bearings, synchros etc from Toyota individually, he just needs a good gearbox place to do the work.
