I hope to change the ARBs on my 2000 car (after I find the money and then find the ARBs!) Figured the fitting would be straight forward, but none of the guys are filling me with confidence! I've had a bout enough stuck nuts and sheared bolts already for one year!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Stoney be prepared for at least ine broken bolt. if it does shear then simply drill it out. the bolts are soft metal and will be out in less than a few mins then fit a new nut and bolt. Do not even bother with eazi outs etc. I then coated new bolt with a coating of copper grease to prevent future corrosion

Right, I'm absolutely ready to petrol bomb my car and buy a new one, because this has wasted 4 hours of my friggin time already.

This bolt. It's spinning freely, moving back and forth about 2mm, but it seems to be somehow welded into the drop link that sits inside the subframe. If anyone has any ideas, including firing a ******* cannon at it, I'm all ears.

Tried bashing ten shades of **** out of it, tried turning it, wiggling it, attaching a friggin hammer drill to the bolt itself but nothing is shifting it at all. Don't say angle grinder because that won't help me at all, unless you can somehow angle grind the bolt inside the drop link without damaging the subframe.

Missed a ******* wedding because of this ****.

Sorry if I've missed something, but can you not just grind off the part of the bolt you can see in the picture, and then knock the bolt through with a screwdriver and a hammer?

Or just drill it out.

"Life's goal is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But, rather to skid in sideways........
totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

does it rotate freely? and i dont mean move left right a bit, i mean totally free to spin 360?

if it does and its still not coming out then the bolt and bushing in the roll link have rusted together and the bushing has seperated from the roll link.

i would suggest either heating the bolt or cutting the head and tail off the bolt flush and then pulling it out of the suspension arm. OR removing the suspension arm and then heating the link. make sure you can loosen the bolt holding the arm to the chassis though as these are very tight.

This.

7 hours of hitting it with a hammer and swearing a lot finally sorted it.
