you need the numbers from the block they are stamped on the block where the sump is bolted on then there is a set of numbers on the front of the crank where the crank pully bolts on and also the numbers off the rod caps

The 1G-GTE pistons and rods are cast, not forged. Having said that, they have still been well-proven at much higher bhp than those of the 1G-FE. I have them in my engine, because of the lower compression ratio (better for turbo setup) and proven reliability.

Theres a guy in aus that is running a 1ggte at 500 hp with std rods and pistons!!!!!
and yes they are not forged ive had my rods made stronger!

yeah they can as long as you have done the right mods on the internals with the early ones! late ones not so bad
