You mean repeaters side lights are the little 501's in the headlights mate
Thanks mate hopefully get a set.
No mate I'll just put dibs on them instead
I know what you meant Dave Looking good and you're making good progress!
Getting there slowly, thanks Oli...
Having a bit of confusion over the stereo setup though, it doesn't quite fit into the fascia properly... Taken a few pictures but you can't easily see what I mean from them so you'll have to accept the running commentary!
This is the stereo as I got it out the box (a JVC KW-AVX810) with the standard clipped on bit of plastic trim:
This is the stereo without it
This is the stereo with the outer trim of the double din fascia (note the gap between stereo and fascia)
This is the stereo with the double din fascia & internal trim:
The last one looks OK, but it's very much jammed onto the head unit, meaning the removable face is not removable - and also (presumably) the ability to tilt/open would be a bit of an issue since it's jammed into the trim so tightly, meaning it'd be somewhat difficult to use...
Should I try to cut down the thickness of the interior trim a bit? Seems a bit risky (as in I might cut off my thumb, knowing me). A final option that occurred to me was to put the fascia & internal trim on and then let the stereo sit with its original trim just outside of that. I'd rather (if possible) have it fitting in nicely and with all functions available.
Anyone got one of these (or similar) and can advise?
SHAHZ Moley get some LS side repeaters on it, look much better than the stock IS ones, i had them on mine, then got hold of a smoked set, probably still got the clear set somewhere.... not the best of pics but here is my smoked ones!

Presumably somewhere like this - eBay search is your friend.
I think the LS side repeaters changed sizes at some point though, and you need to be sure you get the right ones to fit the IS - though I like the ones I got better than the LS ones personally...
Anyhoo... Anyone know how I can power up this stereo without fitting it to the car so I can see what range of movement it needs to tilt/open etc?
Hunting last night (and being pointed at a thread by Woz, thanks for that matey) I saw deckie had to cut the bottom bit of the internal frame off to fit his - anyone know if this is the way I should be going?
