Here it is dry laid - ready for the clear. I can't wait to see this one ready and in the car.

01-01-2020, 04:08 PM #103Not going to lie mate, this one is a fecker. I will need to sand down the sides like a mad-man to get the motor to operate smoothly. Will be worth it in the end though.

Yee I thought it would be, unfortunately I mixed the whole quantity of base coat when doing the centre bar as I thought I would need it all because I was using the whole sheet of carbon (I actually ended up with half a cup of it left!)
So I was just going to use 3M on the sat nav lid and laquer that instead as it's thinner.

01-01-2020, 04:24 PM #106It depends how the centre bar finishes up, being the perfectionist I am I may decide to re-do it if I think it can be done better. So then I'll have extra base coat left to real carbon skin it.

29-01-2020, 09:07 AM #107Haven't had a proper update in a while, but as I cleaned it today, I had to take a little pic or two. The only new addition here is the TTE spoiler which has been finally painted and fitted.

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway :lol: )
In Progress:
E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake
Shiny..... Any plans to fit the rest of the TRD or TTE kit? Looks like it could do with something to match up with the side skirts on the rest of the car... :thumbup:

29-01-2020, 09:16 AM #109Got the rear apron in the cupboard. Painted but just needs fitting. Will be on the lookout for a front one too, maybe, in a few months.
