heater led swap
heater led swap
jay_russell ok mate. good news, you might have to swap them around if they dont workleds run only one way. simple to do. remove the 4 screws on the back of the unit and there you will see a blub holder with a black and red wire comming out of them just do a 180 on it so it sits the other way, same with the clock. i cant test it on mine as it's different fittings
and yes :ttiuwp: and i cant wait to see the pics of it fitted and looking good

Moley, take the unit out of the car (make a note of the ones that are not working first), turn the unit around and remove the 4 screws holding the unit face on. For each bulb that's not working, pop it out and put it back in turned 180 degrees. Then they should all work
 that's my understanding of Jay's post on what could possibly go wrong, anyway...

When you take the back off , which I have done all you get is a circuit board and you cant see the bulbs. but there is a black and red cables that have a bit of silicone on them so you cant do anything to them.
Not sure if I should remove the circuit board and start messing about inside or not !!

ad:Jay said the black and red cables led to the bulb holders, shouldn't they just twist out in order to access the bulbs?

ad:Yes, I imagine they are twist and pull to remove, a bit like a bayonet light bulb in your house! Then the LEDs pull just out the holder, reverse them and fit them back in. (Guessing here, but expect I am right.)

ad:yer mate, just turn around the bulb holder with the red / black wires in it and the fit it again, it's hard as they dont fit in my car so i cant test it 100%, but after i have done the last one i can send you the unit to replace the not working bulb.
Going away to try it now mate
