Marsdendean What happened jim and wheres the charger off to? if its ok asking!
Took it to get tuned, tuner let it run too lean for too long and killed the engine.
Totally gutted, to the point of feeling physically sick for the best part of a week. Stupid because I've only had the car for a year, but I can;t look at it as it brings a tear to my eye
But I only had about 6-9 months before I would have had to sell up as kids a bit cramped in back. So here I am....

Of course, I know in my heart that he single handedly killed it. The tuner as the dyno operator ragged the **** out of my baby from the outset without first taking it slow and getting the AFR's correct.

Yeah I did, but they wasn't fitted at the time of the tune. Not that it would have helped. Not even a fully forged bottom end could withstand 1bar of boost with 14.7AFR while being bounced of the redline repeatedly on 5 runs
And its just not worth getting repaired, as having the engine pulled and pistons put in will be ~£1k or more if done by a garage. And then I have no idea if there is any cylinder wall damage.
I didnt mind putting money into the car while it was still functioning as a car (my whole reason for going the easy supercharger route). But to put money into it when we it may be off the road for weeks or longer just doesn't fit with my needs

I agree, obviously you take a risk when you get a car performance mapped, but if they've ragged the nuts out of it without doing proper checks along the way then surely you have some sort of case?

Besides, they were tuning it for you - so it's highly probable that the engine blew because of their tune. For the sake of very small amount of time - take them to court.

Ed from Fusion Motorsport in Surrey. There, I got it out of my system!
Now to wait for him to show his face and corner the mods of OJC into removing this post.
No nothing was signed prior to having the car tuned, He even drove to the dyno in the car with me so he knew 100% that the car wasn't knackered beforehand.
At the end of the day I'm not sure I've got the strength to take it to court. He's already made it apparent that he's going to defend his side of the story, and I've only got small amounts of video footage from the tuning.
The only thing I'm hoping for is the results from each of the runs on the rolling road. These will show the AFR's/Boost/RPM for eahc of the runs, so should support my version of events.
