Here's one of the runs. This was probably the 3rd run which didn't make much HP due to the really bad AFR issues:
![[Image: O5W0U.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/O5W0U.jpg)
Basically the afr's should be heading downwards to around 11.5 when going into boost, but instead they are going upwards!! By the time it gets to 300whp, the AFR's are at 13 which is stupidly lean and just asking for trouble.
I should have smacked the guy silly for allowing him to disable my meth injection too.
UGH I just don't wanna talk about it. Makes me mad.

Why'd he disable the meth?
Sounds like a cowboy mate. Seriously small claims court get it done.
But back to you for sale thread.......

as above!!i dont understant why he would do that?also if the car was running that lean on the first two runs he shouldnt have done the third one it should have been aborted...
i know of a good tuner and heres what happened to them
boy got his pulsar engine hks'd as in the engine and box got sent away and back came the engine with a cd rom with the settings it was to be mapped at well this tuner thought he knew better and mapped it himself well it went pop so he was asked to send the engine back along with the ecu because they didnt understand why it went pop well a phone call a few days late em sir its not warranty as it has not been mapped to our values and wasnt run in on low boost.........right back to the mapper its your fault he said take him to court as it wasnt!!!wrong the court found it was his fault and his buisness had to pay for all the repairs........so jim!!!!get your ass to court you'd be silly not too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The guy is scared that you will take it further - he is on a losing side of a battle.
At the end of the day HE IS THE PROFESSIONAL and providing a service to the public which you paid for, he has to know what is safe for your engine and what is not. He CAN NOT wash his hands of you. It is totally his fault as your car was in his care when he ruined it.
The court will side with you every time, it is not up to you to know anything at all about your car as you were paying for his service and it went bad. He owes you a car. What do you have to lose? He is required to have insurance.
I know you guys are right, I absolutely do. Even I as a complete layman to tuning (and cars in general) would have halted the dyno after 2-3 attempts at correcting the AFRs.
It was actually only halted when I started waving my hands about as smoke poured from underneath the car. Had I have not been in the room at the time, they would have carried on.
As for the meth, he insisted that he disable it because if it ran out it could cause engine damage (no ****). I told him that I had a warning light for when the tank reached 1/4 full but he still insisted on tuning without it.
I already emailed him asking if he would correct the situation by paying £300 towards some parts I had found and using his own man hours to fit them (he is an engine builder) but he declined.
So yeah the next stage is court I guess. I just need to get out of this depressed slump and start getting angry.

ad:Stoney I remember you encouraging Gord to take action. If anything, this is more serious than his wheel arches.
It's still sad to see the car broken up, but I know you have decided on that cause of action, but from the sound of it, this guy owes you, and is trying to pull a fast one.

Time is key mate - get in there fast.
YOU have nothing to lose - hell I would even chip in a little toward the court costs - I'm sure others wouldn't mind too.
The longer you wait, the more you won't be inclined to do anything about it - it's human nature. Just sort it dude - really, you are in the right and he has to prove he did everything right.
Gord I think you are very wrong about selling for 2k less bit Jim IMHO, If it was worth 4/5k running your never going to get 2/3k for a non running car mate, very very few people would take it on, other than a mechanic or breakers yard.
When i was looking for an is300, there was one on ebay that needed new gearbox, now i was very interested (i have mate that has his own garage so fitting cost would be cheap) the car looked ok not mint but no sh***er also, it sold for less then £700 mate, but the point im making it, it sort of put me right of.
