My IS300 story so far....
My IS300 story so far....
Anyway matey, is very very very very fast, awaiting my drive but you keep coming up with your very bad excuses.
Car sounds great, and I kinda like the soundtrack too...
Just drained the 'ol paypal account again....
- 14PSI annodised blue supercharger pulley
- Meth kit with progressive controller
- Magnaflow sports cat
- K&N Air filter wrap (blue)
Also had to buy 80 new stainless steel bolts for my split rims. The chrome plated ones I used appear to be **** (despite paying almost £2 each for them) and have starting oozing some rust.
Pics soon
Wow Jim, maybe you need to give the drive to that special little boy you promised you would some time soon?
your car keeps getting better every week, how come youve brought a magnaflow? what happened to the toyomoto bits?

So today with some time off work I decided to get my downpipe fitted. I haven't installed the headers yet as that would require removing the S/C, and I want to avoid that until my smaller pulley arrives (and also a bearing rebuild kit).
Already I'm loving the difference. The car seems to be a bit smoother than it was with the OEM downpipe/cat and the exhaust note has now changed to more of a burble with lots of popping when I come off the throttle when cruising. Really brings a to my face.
But best of all, I started installing the meth kit....
Big old mess of cables...
Pump sits nicely in the bracket used for the jack. Had to drill a couple of holes to secure it, but it couldnt really have been a better fit if it was custom fabricated!
Tank bolted securely to side carpets. Will make it nice and easy to refill.
LED status indicator shows when the kit ready or has a malfunction. Technically I probably should have put this somewhere in the dashboard, but as I'm not going to be tuning aggressively (to the point where no meth would = boom) its just fine there.
Control unit all wired in. Only bummer is that it needs a vacuum source which I'd really rather not run all the way to the boot. I may try and tap into one of my existing sensors and run a cable to the controller and see if I can get it working that way?
Looking good Jim!
How much of an increase would the meth kit bring?
