So you want to edit this, because you're all chummy with the guy, yet someone posts up about not to buy a clutch off of a eBay seller and you let that slide?

Nice!

I think you all need to read your law books.

Perhaps those that are chummy with Steve? can ask him. I'm sure he'll admit to making an 'error' as he called it.

Car MOTd on the 14th May, yet I collected it from Dave on the 9th.

The case isn't in a court of law, even if it were, names can be mentioned, what do newspapers report everyday of the week?

Something smells round here, and it aint the Mrs for a change.

It was reported within 14 days.

The whole story?? do go on as you obviously know something.

Would love to know what Steve is saying? please tell, seeing as all names have even been removed now.

Not much proof I can put up at the moment, apart from insurance cert, starting on the 9th, MOT showing MOtd on the 14th and emails from Dave.

and newspapers get taken to court, have to pay damages etc.. in the interests of keepin the club in the clear here all thats being asked is that ALL personal issues are kept off the forum and NO business names are bought into this.

I can show a VERY large internet forum that has just been challenged in a similar situation and they very nearly got themselves in a lot of trouble and have had to take steps to ensure its members do not mention acompany name again

for the sake of keeping everything nice the mods ASKEDif you could edit your post. They could have just edited it or deleted it im guessing in the interest of keepng things nice gave you the chance to modify

oh, and i have no interests in any of the companys involved, have never used em and they are too far for me to probably ever use any of em!

anyway, thats me done for today, think this is probably my longest post on this forum!!

Gord Ps your for sale add saying mot 8th June 2010

It does, correct. The original MOT ran out on June 9th 2009, as I'm sure you're aware, you can have a car MOTd 30 days before the the current one runs out.

redz ,think this is probably my longest post on this forum!!

Congratulations!

Gord Did you or did you not have a phone call with Steve about the MOT ? if yes then you know as much as me, i don't know what Deve Ellen has said as he is not man enough to talk to me

I did yes, where he said he MOTd the wrong car or entered the wrong registration or something, I'm sure you can refresh my memory. Only trouble is, if he had done that, the MOT certificate would have that date on it, as he would have just been rectifying a mistake. Unfortunately it didn't.

This thread might aswell be closed or deleted, as it serves no purpose and will just go round in never ending circles.

I don't see what he has posted as making problems? It's not like it's a big secret or anything.

If people think differently of the car because it's been on a race track, then I don't really want to deal with the numpties anyway.

Careful calling him problematic, it's libellous Big Grin

Just to add, there's a massive difference between what was posted in this thread and saying "avoid buying this clutch, I think it was rubbish". The latter isn't subject to any kind of legal issues whatsoever, in that latter thread if someone had posted "I bought this clutch and it was no good, the seller is a fraudster selling dangerous goods" then that would also have got the attention of the moderators.

Aido, you're right, he really is ***

" are apparently being investigated by VOSA for allegedly doing an unseen MOT"

Is not a libellous statement.

This thread contained some serious allegations, none of which has yet been proven. The name of the MOT Station has been removed until these allegations are proven/confirmed by VOSA. From a legal standpoint the Outlaw Jap Club cannot leave this discussion open until such time a facts are produced/proven. This thread is now closed until further notice (& any other subsequent threads on this subject).
