with not having a nav remote I cant get to the menu to determine which generation I have. A bit of googling says 2002 plus IS200's come with generation 2 navigation, but aquiring a generation 2 disk is proving tricky. have tried a generation 1 disk but that gives this error

with google translate I can get '11 dragon earth click' which might not be the actual message
It is different to the no disk image so im assuming that generation 1 disks dont work!!
yeah that was my first thought. There is a site that offers new disks but you have to first choose which generation nav you have, then the code on the current CD.

petay its odd they chose a 4 cylinder one to tweak, I would have thought the 6 cylinders would have more scope for squeezing extra horses out.
if it had a 1j instead of a friggin 1gfe that would be correct. Instead we got the spares bin from the late 80s.
