Iv been thinking about it for years and doing alot of research and found out the setup from a jzx110 are basically plug and play with the lexus there is only a few wires on the body plugs that need swapping and they plug right it to the jzx110 ecu and clocks etc work. iv friends who brake and sell jap cars so there keeping an eye for me.

Morango Maybe if you was local but would cost ya, Besides wouldn't want to take the joy of fitting it away from you :p

Was hoping you'd do it for the look of joy on my face with the first turn of the key!

One day... but unfortunately I lack 3 pretty important things, space, money and competency.

OMG!!! Yea the pluhgs look the same for both ecu's! i cant believe that i never knew. I would have gone down the route if i had known, the wiring had put me off for years!

Well, I didn't have space or competency, just a wet 2 metre square space in front of the car and knowledge from google and forums whenever i came across a problem. I also had help from several people in various stages with there own JZ builds. As for money I sold the supercharger kit for £2k which paid for the engine and most of the gearbox, I sold another car which paid for the rest :p

Gonna see how disappointed I am with the supercharger first. I've had all the bits since about August, I just haven't/been arsed got round to it yet. Hate to think how long it would take me to 1JZ it!

We've got two knackered 1JZ's lying in bits scattered around the workshop... I'd talked myself out of it numerous times, but now you've come along and stuck the idea in my head again! Dunno whether to thank you or curse you!

Well i'm sure there will be a lot of cursing, but at the end of the day you will be thinking me Wink If you was local i'd take you for a spin and then you will go back and start doing it straight away :p

The supercharger is ok, It does liven the car up and definitely worth doing. If the kits were cheaper to do it wouldn't be so bad but i couldn't justify £2k for 60hp and then you've hit a wall and cant go much further. 1jz has doubled my power and then some more for around £5k but once its in its easy to get more power when you get bored.

I'd be more likely to go the manualing and turboing a IS300 route. One up on ebay atm with a dodgy gearbox for £850... family don't need xmas presents this year

wanna buy a yellow IS200? new brakes and tires all round, I'll even chuck a ready to bolt on supercharger kit in!
