HI mate, what are you trying to remove the bolt? or the pully? one min you say the bolt will not move then you say the pully, you are trying to undo it the right way i ask?? as you said the car moves forward when you try to undo it, you car should only move forwoard when you try and do it up!!
ibby the issues is..

I bought a crank holder kit 45£,
breaker bar, and the pully will not shift.

The car moves forward with the yanking.. but the pully wont move

I have oiled it, bit the bolt with a hammer..

So I try the battery trick. it snapped and shreared two bolts..

so then I ordered an impact socket set

try it today.. battery trick, starter moves .. engine turns then hummmm
(when breaker bar hits the leg)

so now iam out of ideas!

I did buy an impact wrech with a gun from ebay which runs on air.
but i have no compressor!

aaronabbott give it some heat with a small butane blow torch then try

its not the bolt he needs to heat up! its the bit the bolt goes into but that bit has the pully on it, if he trys to heat the bolt up i sure it will just make it tight? "i think" please put me right if you think im talking out my back side:lol:

ibby So I try the battery trick. it snapped and shreared two bolts..
What's the "battery trick" ? :confused1:

Have you tried the method where you use a breaker bar and brace it against the chassis, then quickly flick the starter on and off and that loosens it ? Or is that what you mean by the battery trick ? If you try that one you mustn't hold the starter on, you just need to do it very quickly.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

steviewevie ok, so what was it that snapped and which bolts sheared when you tried that ?

well,

(iam on my own doing repairs)

so I ligned up timing to TDC,
I put the socket on the crank bolt
I put the wrench on the end of the bolt,
a brace it agaisnt the chassis leg,
go to the inside of the car, crank it

and the bar goes flying with the socket.
Bar is ok, but socket has been sheared Blush

so i ended up buying another set of sockets (impach wrench) do the same but the bolt still hasnt moved!

That's odd. Sounds like either the socket wasn't on square, or the socket was poor quality ?
