would this have enough tourq to open my crank bolt
would this have enough tourq to open my crank bolt
ibby the issues is..
I bought a crank holder kit 45£,
breaker bar, and the pully will not shift.
The car moves forward with the yanking.. but the pully wont move
I have oiled it, bit the bolt with a hammer..
So I try the battery trick. it snapped and shreared two bolts..
so then I ordered an impact socket set
try it today.. battery trick, starter moves .. engine turns then hummmm
(when breaker bar hits the leg)
so now iam out of ideas!
I did buy an impact wrech with a gun from ebay which runs on air.
but i have no compressor!
HI mate, what are you trying to remove the bolt? or the pully? one min you say the bolt will not move then you say the pully, you are trying to undo it the right way i ask?? as you said the car moves forward when you try to undo it, you car should only move forwoard when you try and do it up!!

heating up the bolt will work too mate but you wont get enough heat in it with a small butane torch.

steviewevie What's the "battery trick" ? :confused1:
Have you tried the method where you use a breaker bar and brace it against the chassis, then quickly flick the starter on and off and that loosens it ? Or is that what you mean by the battery trick ? If you try that one you mustn't hold the starter on, you just need to do it very quickly.

ibby and the bar goes flying with the socket. That's odd. Sounds like either the socket wasn't on square, or the socket was poor quality ?
Bar is ok, but socket has been sheared
