Grip?
Grip?
Gonna swap em over when the rain stops or should that be IF it stopsad:
steviewevie Tyre manufacturers will always recommend that you have more grip on the rear. It's the same for both FWD and RWD cars, and it's because understeer (when you don't have enough grip at the front) is much more easy to deal with than oversteer (when you lose grip at the rear).
Yes, swap your front tyres to the rear if you have more grip right now at the front.

Moley Its better to have the good one on the rear like Steve has said no matter if its a FWD or a RWD.
I watched a program on TV about it ( one of the car shows but not Top Gear )
And its all to do with losing the rear due to lift off understeer

Yep definitely lift off oversteer - that's one of the things I hate about FWD cars as it's sometimes quite unpredictable.....
Swapped them over this morning, the rain stopped untill I jacked the car up and had 2 of the wheels off then it started piddling down again so I got soaked:crying: then it stopped the minute i'd finished, can't complain too much tho considering whats happened in Cumbria:ohmy:
steviewevie Lift off oversteer surely ? If you lose the back end, that's oversteer.
