Lowering?
Lowering?
steviewevie I don't know for sure Andy, but I got the car with 45K on it and I suspect they probably would have been the original ones, yes.
I think it was just the springs that were different between SE and Sport, mine is a Sport but as a 1999 one still rode like a 4x4 in height

ormi ye a lot cheaper than most but i've had them a year they still are purple no cracks in the powder coating still look like new in fact.
but as said i like them and they lower more than most and didn't empty my wallet and the car behaves 100% better.:thumbup:

Ormi can you put some pics up for us I have seen them somewhere else but can't think where that was:thumbdown:
pics of what matey??
car before and after the lowering?
Yes mate, thanks.
standard hight
now.
sorry not got any pics lowered on standard wheels but you get the idea.
yes now they are but if your running 17's the result will be the same(the wheels are the same size as standard ones inc the tyre) 215 40 18's will be the same hight as 215 45 17's.
Bigger wheels will help to make your car look a bit lower via an optical illusion (because the centre part of the wheel is bigger), but as Ormi says, if you're using the right tyres then the overall diameter of the wheel/tyre combo will be the same, so the arch will be pretty much the same height above the tyre.
Cheers Ormi, TRD side skirts should help create a bit of an illusion aswell making it apear lower, hopefully they'll be fitted next weekend, right think it's a goer then:biggrin: just need to convince Santa:laugh:
