I changed mine in 2004 and since then it works fine. Also I use the car half of the year. The rest it sits in the garage!

I had a look at the top of my battery and the little green thing has gone to black. It still started fine with no problem at all. The battery is about two years old as Lexus replaced it with a new one when I bought it.

Mine needs a new battery, the one on mine is in the boot and its the size of a cigarette packet! only has 220cca so not much use in the UK being a Japanese battery!

You'd think it would have a decent battery with it being a 2.5ltr and in the boot?

But found a new one for it at £35 with a 5 year warranty and 360cca, so not too bad for a better one :thumbup1:

Lexus IS200 Sport Navigator (Now being stripped again)

i have brought a new battery in march and had the car parked a week while away and today it was dead... oh well went to work and got a new one and will get a refund for the old one so no cost to me......

but....

while driving north for the holidays in Sweden i lost the car in a ditch... no my car but my bosses corolla verso that i had borrowed so got it pulled out and carried on the trip. got back today and cleaned the car and had the seats washed.( kids puked ) and had the car inspected for the insurance company so will find out how much it will all cost to fix. also after the crash i got a flash from a camera so will have this to do....

but the best holiday ever.... and everybody was ok

Mine's been spot on, I had alternator problems earlier in the year and replaced the battery and alternator. I've not had a single problem with the weather, except some wiring that I'd done in the engine bay where I hadn't used a waterproof plug blew the fuse for my engine fans :blushing:

****, tuning in the new Alpines I forgot to start the engine, and the battery went flat within 10 minsConfusedhock: I forgot how much was running off it, waited 1 hour and she started without jumping, so that was a little warning.
