Not sure mate, the only way to really find out if its one of the ones that had the chrome under the paint is to scrape a bit of the dirt/paint off the tailpipe with a stanley blade, if it has got the chrome under the paint use a bit of fine wire wool and Autosol polish to remove the paint/dirt?
But with it being a 2001 model?? it might be just the standard tailpipe? A lot of the older sport models came with a nice shiny chrome end cap and some of the newer models had a black painted tailpipe tip, that could be cleaned off to show a nice chrome finish, but more seemed to come with just a standard looking tip with no chrome under the paint or a chrome tip, our 02 plate is200 had the chrome tip that was painted over :thumbup1:

Fry-Up looks standard to me, I had a chrome tailpipe on my old one but only noticed shortly before sale as it was never clean, and then I couldn't get the bleedin thing off so its gone now

Looking good matey, glad it's coming along so nicely. Strange as your car is definitely a facelift like mine, but that exhaust tip doesn't look like a chrome one........maybe it's been replaced at some point? Either way best to do what bandit said and scrape away the rubbish on top to see what's underneath.
