Footwell LED's....How To
Andy-R. I'm going to do it the cheats way like Chris done his with cathode tubes, i'm far to lazy and far to much of a chicken to do it with LED's:laugh:

If you are putting the diode in the positve feed to the LEDs the end of the diode with the circle around it should point in the direction of the lights.
There is also a small voltage drop across the diode ( 0.6v) which will prolong the life of the LEDs a little.
Cous3 Parthiban, you done this yet mate?

Yeah don't ask me what stuff I've had sitting around for months and not getting fitted
Worst part is I occasionally find things that I had forgotten I'd even bought
DJ Wozza Outstanding work/write up as usual Keith
I would suggest a quick blow fuse and a diode to stop any feedback current if a single LED fails in the strip
If the LED's you are fitting are like the LED strips members have been using for Lightbrows etc,
this is what I (and some other Outlaw Jap Club members) have been using for electrical safety.
Maplins
Diode - QL73Q
Fuse holder 20mm- PC78K
Fuse quick blow 20mm, 500mA - GJ85G
Obviously it is up to you if you want to use any of these components, and only do so if you are competent
@ electrics. The diode is for stopping any feedback currents, and I have been told by an electrical engineer
that is is a good move incase of strip failure (one LOC members set caught fire but may have being wired incorrectly).

Better off taking the feed from the ignition barrel mate, they still fade out like the dome light, and its a lot easier to do
Not sure on the diodes, but i'm sure Wozza will be able to tell you about that :thumbup1: I'd fuse both sides to be on the safe side
