lexynik its at pease pottage - about 3/4 hour from you - yes you can wander round in all but the salvage/repairable section - its been a while since i went up there and never looked for is,s but im hoping there will be maybe ten or so in bits to pick off - theyre pretty huge and somewhat expensive but the lex is quite old now so shud be a few there - im kinda hoping for full leather !!
oh i think thats the 1 my ex mate got caught thieving from lol
tried stealing shed loads of vectra parts. probly around £100 worth???
but then went to pay for the headlight £25 and the guy said £250.
so obviously he argued it but in that time they had blocked his car in, and told him to either pay or he either calls the old bill or crushes his car.
so they had the age old argument of 'well i'll put it back'
but the scrappy wasnt having none of it.
taking a few bits they expect and probly to a certain extent dont mind as you will be buying more expensive bits anyway but to take the mick isn't on :angry:

13-03-2018, 11:38 AM #12just got back - they have at least 5 is,s up there - they are in a different part of the yard which you need a chaparone to get into - got my brakepad clip and steering wheel badge - on the is,s i saw there were no airboxes on the others to take badges off unfortunately - chris i saw one bonnet strut which was nearly bent in half - im sure this would straighten but didnt know to grab it for you or not - theres at least one good black bonnet and various doors - did not see any headlights as most were front enders - moley no trd stuff at all but definite evidence that some stuff like this had already been had - i had to tell the guy specifically what i wanted to gain entrance to this bit of more expensive stuff and once i had my clip and seen a few things there was a queue of 8 or 9 people waiting to get in with my chaparone - its highly likely i will be spending a day up in this yard next week and can do more checking for bits if people say what they need - asi if you read this there was one aero wheel there looking scuffed but repairable if you still need a fourth - stav no 300 wheel but i got the impression saturday not the best day up there as too busy for chaparones - i think they have more is,s tucked away as when i enquired about bodypanels i hadnt seen on the way out they said no problem - all in all i paid £2 for rear clip and steering wheel emblem-cant moan as a clip set is only available from lexus at £70 !! ill be fitting that one myself

13-03-2018, 01:34 PM #15lol chris - yup thats quite likely up there - they dont take prisoners,if you get my drift - pretty well securitied up with beefy chaps and cctv as well - defo not a place to go choring these days - twenty years ago you could walk out with a car but nowadays theyre a bit more with it

Sorry wozza i did not take any tools with me today but i will be going back there soon now i know whats there
oh yeah i did not see any rear lips or front spoilers or tte bumpers at all and i was looking - these cars all still have windows etc so interiors and electrics should all be reasonable condition

17-03-2018, 10:19 AM #18CRIKEY !! i went back to the scrapyard today to have a second look at the full leather i was considering buying-unfortunately one of the rear headrests with matching grey piping is missing and door cards are us so i decided to leave that one there-i made enquiries to see if as i suspected they had more is,s tucked away somewhere and after about an hour of conversations and name dropping managed to gain entrance to a "secret" yard which is not available to the general public usually-lo and behold maybe 7 or 8 complete lexus is,s of all colours mostly front enders with all available for parts-complete interiors-satnav systems with remotes-doors-glass-headlights-rearlights-4 or 5 rear boot spoilers one with brake light but each slightly different-engines-5 spokes,in short ojc heaven i would think-there is even a green bonnet to go straight on eds car,i have pm,d him - i had to be quite persuasive to get to this area but the guy in the end said all the cars can have any bits taken but as its quite a walk to get to this far away yard and they wont open it up for "silly stuff" there should be plenty of oem spares there for a long time.
If anyone wants to go there and get anything pm me and ill give you the name of the guy to speak to and which area it is.

Moley I would like the chrome "L" from the airbox also.
And if there are many IS's there just take all the badges from the airbox for other members to
