HKS FCD install
HKS FCD install
It's installed now. Really happy with thw car now that it has a bit more power. The only thing i have to do now is to move the intercooler a bit as it interfears with my front bumper.
The bypass valve on the SC, is the wire supposed to be a bit loose? And is there anyone else than me who can feel a small decrese in power at around 3000 rpm? Will try to take some pics and upload
yeah theres meant to be slack in it mate
I had the same power problem which was fixed by 11 on the FCD and an uprated fuel pump. Does it stutter if you floor it at 2000rpm and keep it going untill it goes past 3000rpm. I found the power hole was about 2,750rpm but only on 90-100% throttle and there is no boost change.
Have you installed the IK22 plugs? Might be worth trying the old ones.

Have not installed the new spark plugs, but i'm considering doing that today.

You could always plug the boost guage I sent temporarily to check it?
I found on my car that the "power hole" gets better the more the ECU learns the charger and also gets much better once the car is warmed up and pretty much dissappears once youve done 10-20 miles (unless you try and catch it out on purpose). As I said before I did get this sorted - as apparently it is fuel delivery thats the problem.
Did you reset the ECU after you installed the SC? You definitely need to reset the ECU after the IK22 spark plugs or it missfires.

I haven't changed my fuel pump or added another FPR, and my turbo'd car has more power than the supercharged versions. So I can't see why an s/c would need one, unless the existing ones were faulty anyway.

Apparently it was a 225 fule pump -not sure which one - but did not have to install an FPR.
I would reset the ECU as it will take a pretty long time to fully learn the charger. I'd reset the ECU before you try anything else to fix the stutter.
Reseted the ECU two days ago, but the problem does not seem to get better. But I will have to see how the issue is developing, if it becomes better.
Got the last of my gauges today, so thinking about installing them tonight or when i get back from work again next week. Been waiting so that i can pull all the wires togheter rather than having to redo something later.
Also ordered an oil filter relocation kit to get an output for the oil pressure sensor and to relocate the oil filter from it's original location since it's a pain in the ass to change.
