Changing Spark Plugs on an IS200
By the way, the reason the IK22s are typically used on forced induction cars is because of the higher temperatures that these plugs are likely to experience during combustion. If you ran IK22s in a normal engine, you might find that they don't get heated up enough, and therefore are more prone to fouling up with carbon deposits. Similarly if you ran IK20s in a turbo'd engine then you might find you are more prone to pre-ignition.
Dave Hi guys should be getting my tools for x mas and then the new plugs soon thereafter. I read on a website that u have to set a gap for the plug. if the gap is to big or small it can cause problems. Can anyone shed any light on this thanks in advance.
Dave.

hi i managed to get all the covers off, then the socket came off the ratchet! and went to the bottom, now i cant see it, think it may be on the undertray, should i be worried if i cant get this thing out.
Doh ! Yes, it's probably on the undertray. Have you got one of those extended reach tool thingies, a kind of spring on a long rod that you can use to pick things up in tight places ? You can get them from Halfords etc.
You should be ok if you've only got the key in the "ACC" position, i.e. just so the radio is on. Make sure the ignition isn't on at all though.
no i havent got one sadly. I think I shall defo not have key in at all then just in case, not to bothered about the socket as long as it dont get mangled up in anything and wreck the car
Yes they can as far as i know
