Driving along...suddenly my coolant warning light lights up!

steviewevie Did you check your oil level ? How low was it ? Just curious as to how low it needs to be to make the warning light come on (hope I don't find out through a practical example !).
I totally forgot about updating this. Yep- checked the oil level, it was half way between the MIN and MAX level. I thought the low oil light would have come on if the oil level dropped to MIN or below the MIN level?
Anyway, the oil is now topped up to the MAX level.

Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

12-06-2017, 04:55 AM #13I'm suprised it came on if the oil level was that "high". I presume the car was on level ground when you checked it ? There's always a possibility that there was a problem with the sensor and the light came on incorrectly, but I guess you'll now know what to check if it does come on again !

Yep, the car was on level ground when I checked the oil level and also the engine was cold.
