Marsdendean i average around 20MPG, but most of that is around town. The most i ever have had is around 440 miles, and that was all motorway driving at around 90mph on Cruise.

It does drink fuel around town, but i like the looks at how it drives, so that makes up for the hole in my pocket!! In the auto aswell, the revs when setting off are always around 2500rpm to 3000!!

Suppose with a manual you can keep the rev's down if you want and I tend to go from 3rd to 6th quite abit.

40mm Lowering Springs, Re-sprayed Front, 6000K HID's, Re-furbed alloys, Bandit Induction Kit (cheers Chris), Raised boot spoiler with LED, Blue calipers with silver decals, De-badged rear, Chrome Oil Filler Cap (thanks to Chris again), White LED dash bulbs, Blue a/c control bulbs, Blue door markers and interior lights, Sony head unit, Chrome Lexus tax disc holder, TRD side skirts, Original Saloon Front Bumper re-fitted instead of Sportcross

I have nearly double your power (OK it is going on a dyno soon!!) and get (usually) better MPG than a standard IS200, go figure!!

Let's face it, the IS200's fuel economy is not exactly its strongest point !

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

Marsdendean If you were looking for decent fuel economy when you bought the IS200, someone gave you the most optimistic fuel figures ever, then added a little bit on, or took a couple of mpg off for the auto

Nope wasn't looking for decent fuel economy at all, just a great car (which I got!) Still don't really care about fuel, just gets interesting when the economy varies a bit.

Anyway, to update on the original thread, just filled the car up - had done 370 miles and put in 60 litres to fill it back up, which equates to just under 28mpg? I'm still impressed that it got up that high, and the economy suddenly dipped towards the end as around town I tend to drive it like I stole it :tongue_smilie:

Need to do another long drive at some point as I really think the 500 miles/35mpg might actually be achievable now Smile

If I set my 300 on cruise control at 75mph I return between 30-40mpg according to the dial on the dash, so reckon its about 35mpg, otherwise its about 15 mpg (if I am moderately behaving :lolSmile I didn't buy it for the economy either just the great car and fun.
