think is300 turbo kits are more readily available mate, Jamie what would the cost difference be for the 300-340bhp range presuming it's just injectors that were changed on the project car?

Why do you need the fuel regulator at this level of power ?

Also, no spark plugs ?

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

my thoughts as well, would a better fuel pump not be a better idea?

Marsdendean Tempting. But IMO £2500 (for a used charger getting you around 215BHP) and £5500 for 240BHP is a lot of money!

I would be interested to see if the 300BHP could be done for similar money!!

well thats the thing a used charger thats already done at lest 70k.
and i think you will be hard pushed to get 215bhp out of one,we know of meny people who have paid several thousand pounds to gain an extra 12-15bhp over the std tte at approx 200bhp.so at the price of £5500 for a drive in drive out 240bhp is a pritty good deal.

we want to have more time on the 300bhp set up,we want to get my car running this power and cross refrance the data with the project car.

you need the fuel pressure to rise with the boost.

yes we upgrade the plugs

the std fuel pump can handle up to 400bhp,up will need a reg so the fuel pressure rises with the boost

Jay - surely the fuel reg isn't needed till you start really pushing the bhp though ? Sam doesn't have one on his turbo conversion.

Dean - thing is, a charger will be at the top end of what it can do if you buy one of those. At least with a turbo there is a lot more headroom to go further with it in the future.

we have found you need a reg for anything over 230bhp as there isnt enough adjustment in the std fuel system.

Hi Stevie you will need Spark plugs correct also changeing the feul pump will not work there is no need to change the pump However you do need a rising rate feul reg for the 240 mark as well as the mod in the tank and feul return line as mentioned

For the 330 all we changed was the injectors size , Feul reg once again working on a different principal and Map and its still running

all sounds good but what is the cost increase on getting 330 then as its just the injectors this may be the one members would go for.

at the moment people with a charger probably cant justify the cost involved just to gain say another 30bhp
but to gain another 120BHP if the cost is only another 500 or so then this may be more viable i know for me it would look that way.

would the cost still be based on a drive in drive out of 4days ?

what cost would the cost and time change be if internals were swapped to allow further power at a later stage, to say minimise on time scale of the car being off the road. or if internals were done there and then is it worth cranking the power up in the 1 hit ?
