500 bhp i believe there good for. but it's the rest of the engine and how well looked after that makes the difference

Sorry not what they can Handle I meant what bhp extra I can get with them as the compression is different as there is more air space there is a gain.

that's about all you need to map the car with new injectors and a larger pulley for more bhp

Depends on what you believe mate. With the right mapping cars can run 250-270 bhp safely with standard rods and pistons.
Though to be really safe and more power later on (with different charger/turbo) better rods are needed. 1ggte ones fit straight in but they are rare
